Waiter! There’s a hole in my pizza
![]()
It’s a clever ploy of Pizza Express to offer a “dieter’s” pizza. The Leggara range contain only 500 calories, 30% fewer than usual. This is because there’s no middle to the pizza, giving you the pizza equivalent of a doughnut or bagel, with a few leaves shoved in the centre instead.
A nifty idea, perhaps, and one endorsed by WeightWatchers. What’s a little surprising is the price. Whereas a normal Margherita is £6.05, the Leggera Margherita, which looks to have about 30-40% less dough, costs £8.10. Less pizza, a green leaf or two and you’re paying £2.05 more.
I’m undecided if this is zebu or not. Fortunately, I’m not on a diet so I have no problems sticking to the conventional pizza and not worrying if I’m being ripped off or not.
Currently only £5.00 on amazon.co.uk. Click here to learn more or buy.

An O in a pizza is not too bad. If it was an A it would be a piazza.

(Heh, pizzafan!)
Less dough, and fewer toppings as well, don’t forget! So, less material, higher price. They’re going the haute couture route.
