Dictionary of Deceit: “rinse and repeat”


“I’m sorry to say, CJ, that our survey shows that people are only washing their hair once each time.”

“Once? Only once? We need to do better than that.”

And they did. Lo and behold, shampoo bottles sprouted the instruction to “RINSE AND REPEAT“.

The outcome? Hair is no cleaner, but shampoo sales have soared.

    Never occurred to me before. That’s it. Only once at a time in future. Unless nobody compliments me on my hair. In which case, it’s back to twice…or even three times.
